Design & Sales Consultant (Bilingual) Full-Time | Permanent | In Person – Montreal

Do you love design, connecting with people, and the excitement of turning an idea into a finished space? Union Lighting & Décor is looking for a motivated Design & Sales Consultant to join our showroom team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines a strong eye for design with a natural ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and drive sales. You’ll work with homeowners, interior designers, builders, and trade professionals to help bring projects to life — from selecting the perfect lighting, hardware, furniture, and décor to preparing quotes, coordinating specifications, and supporting the project through purchase. We’re looking for someone who is creative, confident, relationship-driven, and motivated by results. This is a full-time, in-person role in Montreal. Weekend availability is required.

What You’ll Do

- Design,



Sales & Customer Experience
- Welcome customers and understand their style, project needs, budget, and timeline
- Provide thoughtful recommendations across lighting, hardware, furniture, and décor
- Guide homeowners, designers, and trade professionals through product selection and purchasing
- Prepare quotes, specifications, and product details
- Follow projects from initial consultation through order placement
- Deliver a personalized and memorable customer experience
- Meet and exceed individual sales goals through strong relationships and product expertise

- Relationship Building & Business Development

- Build lasting relationships with customers and trade professionals
- Develop repeat business and identify new sales opportunities
- Follow up with clients and maintain relationships beyond the initial purchase
- Support partnerships and initiatives that help grow Union’s design community

- Product & Design Knowledge

- Stay current on new collections, product launches, and design trends
- Participate in ongoing vendor and brand training
- Develop strong expertise across Union’s product categories and brands

- Team Collaboration

- Work closely with colleagues across showroom sales, purchasing, customer service, e-commerce, and operations
- Share ideas and contribute to a positive,



energetic, collaborative environment
- Support the team in achieving overall showroom and company goals

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, design consulting, business development, or a related customer‑facing role
- Genuine passion for interior design, lighting, furniture, and home décor
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Comfortable working toward individual sales goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
- Confident using computers and digital communication tools
- Positive, proactive, and collaborative
- Experience working with designers or trade professionals is an asset
- Interior design education or experience is an asset
- Social media or online sales experience is an asset
