About The Position

- Supervising and engaging students in the after-school childcare program.
- Planning and leading age-appropriate recreational, creative, and educational activities.
- Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for students.
- Supporting students with snacks, bathroom breaks, transitions, and daily routines.
- Supervising indoor and outdoor activities and ensuring the safe dismissal of students to authorized adults.
- Monitoring student behaviour and using positive guidance strategies.
- Reinforcing the use of French through appropriate interactions and positive modelling.
- Monitoring students’ health, safety, allergies, and hygiene.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure workplace.
- Communicating and collaborating with school staff and families as needed.
- Performing other related duties and providing administrative support when required.

Who We Are Looking For

- Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)
- Level B2 in English




- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with children (pre-school, primary and junior levels)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, respectful, and diplomatic communication skills with students, parents and staff
- Strong work ethic and effective time management skills
- Independent and reliable team player, flexible with the ability to work in a demanding environment and to transition easily depending on the situation
- Proven effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Discretion
- Trained as an Early Childhood Educator or Teacher would be an asset.

La position

- Superviser et encadrer les élèves dans le cadre du service de garde après l’école.
- Planifier et animer des activités récréatives, créatives et éducatives adaptées à l’âge des élèves.
- Assurer un environnement sécuritaire, accueillant et positif.
- Accompagner les élèves lors des collations, des pauses toilettes, des transitions et des routines quotidiennes.
- Superviser les activités intérieures et extérieures et assurer le départ sécuritaire des élèves avec les personnes autorisées.
- Assurer une gestion positive et bienveillante des comportements.
- Favoriser l’utilisation du français par des interactions appropriées et en servant de modèle positif.
- Veiller à la santé et à la sécurité des élèves, notamment en ce qui concerne les allergies et l’hygiène.
- Maintenir les espaces propres, organisés et sécuritaires.
- Collaborer avec le personnel de l’école et les familles, au besoin.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe et fournir un soutien administratif lorsque requis.
