WHAT YOU’LL DO…

As a Polisher, you will be responsible for the final surface finish of Wekid Mfg.



products in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the commitment to quality that our customers demand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read and interpret fabrication drawings for grind symbols
- Operate polishing equipment, including cutting, grinding, testing, and drilling tools in a safe manner
- Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment in a safe manner
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, Safety Committee, and Management to continuously improve the product, manufacturing processes and working environment
- Accurately track job time using a tablet and bar code system
- Participate in departmental and company-wide meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience working in a similar role is required; prior work with stainless steel metal or pipe is considered an asset
- Prior experience working with power and hand tools
- Understanding of fabrication processes required
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings is required

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check is required as a condition of employment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

OTHER INFORMATION:

- This is an in office position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works a 8-hour day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), Monday – Friday.
