Join the YMCA BC team as a Part-Time Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to support a protected, engaging aquatic environment. You’ll teach lessons, safeguard participants, and enhance community connection. This position reports to the Aquatics Supervisor and requires a mix of positive interactions with YMCA members. As a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, you’ll guard aquatic areas, teach swimming techniques, and build relationships in fun settings. Training opportunities are provided to foster your professional development.

Key Responsibilities
• Guard and teach swimming lessons safely and professionally
• Build relationships with YMCA members and staff
• Develop lesson plans and administer evaluations
• Ensure safety and adherence to YMCA policies
• Assist in training new staff and volunteers

Requirements:
• Current Standard First Aid certificate
• CPR level C and AED certificate
• National Lifeguard
- Pool Option
• Preferred experience as Lifeguard/Instructor
• Reliable transportation access Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and fun at YMCA BC.
