Lifemark Seniors Wellness seeks a Casual Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Orillia, ON. Support treatment plans for seniors and lead dynamic exercise classes for residents every week. As a key member of our care team, you will assist the supervising physiotherapist in implementing treatment plans for residents in long-term care settings. Expect to perform treatments such as gait training, balance exercises, and more, while ensuring a secure environment throughout the gym and treatment areas. Communication with the physiotherapist about resident status is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in executing treatment plans under physiotherapist guidance
• Conduct exercise classes for resident groups
• Prepare and clean equipment post-treatment
• Maintain a safe and tidy gym environment
• Document daily treatments in our web-based system
Requirements:
• PTA/OTA diploma or Kinesiology degree
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred
• Valid Vulnerable Sector check (within 6 months)
• Tuberculin clearance proof required
• Strong communication skills Contribute to enhancing the lives of seniors through supportive physiotherapy and exercise.
