RQ00743 - Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate

- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering, or a related discipline. Certification in Software QualityEngineering or an equivalent credential is considered a solid asset.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience performing testing forlarge-scale applications, including on-premise, web solutions, cloud-basedintegrations, and mobile platforms.
- Experience executing various testing activities andcoordinating with other team members as required to ensure alignment and timelydelivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stronganalytical abilities in understanding business processes, information systems,web UI design and accessibility.
- Hands-on experience with all types of testing: Functional,Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing—across web-based, mobile,and cloud platforms.
- Experience with API and AODA testing is considered anasset.

Technical Capabilities:

- Strong experience in executing test cycles, analyzingresults, and managing the full defect lifecycle using tools like OpenText ALM,OpenText Octane, JIRA, X-Ray, Confluence, etc.
- Experience in utilizing automated testing using tools suchas Micro Focus UFT, TOSCA, Selenium, etc.,
- Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle(SDLC) and experience working within Waterfall, Agile (Scrum), and Hybridenvironments
- Previous experience in executing testing activities onspecialized platforms including: AI based solutions, ServiceNow, Salesforce,SAP, or equivalent would be considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing business requirementsand user stories to design test scenarios, develop test cases and scripts,prepare test data, and assess results for quality assurance reporting.

Requirements

- Design and deliver detailed test cases,



and test scriptsaligned with business requirements and project objectives.
- Execute testing activities and document results for varioustesting types (functional, regression, integration, system, performance,usability, and UAT) across multiple platforms and environments.
- Maintain accurate records of test discrepancies and defectsusing designated QA tools and provide timely reports and recommendations tostakeholders.
- On as needed basis, develop and implement automated testingframeworks and scripts using tools such as Micro Focus/OpenText UFT, Selenium,Cucumber, and Serenity (BDD), etc.
- Collaborate with project team, business analysts anddevelopers to create and manage test data and scenarios that support robustvalidation of business processes.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance processesand contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices within Agile,DevOps, and traditional environments
