An Accounting Clerk performs the entry of accounting data under the direct supervision of the CFO.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs office duties such as opening mail, answering the phone, maintaining office supplies, and filing.
- Reviews and balances daily sales activity and enters applicable information into master spreadsheets.
- Prepares daily deposit and brings the deposit to the bank.
- Posts Accounts Receivable payments into the billing system.
- Reviews, enters and files Accounts Payable invoices.
- Performs three-way match of purchase orders, receiving reports and invoices.
- Generates payment batches on a monthly basis, and on-demand cheques as required.
- Performs collection duties as may be required. This may include contacting delinquent customers, reviewing and resolving customer billing issues and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Prepares letters to customers, suppliers and other parties as may be required.
REQUIREMENTS In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Strong work ethic

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
