Role Description The Accounting Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort St John, BC. This role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

The Accounting

Technician helps prepare and review financial statements and reports, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensures that records are accurate and compliant with relevant standards. The role involves working with accounting software to process entries, generate reports,



and support the senior accounting team with analytical tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

- Strong bookkeeping skills, including transaction recording, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
- Experience preparing and supporting financial statements and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems).
- Solid analytical skills and an understanding of core finance and accounting principles.
- Diploma or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward a professional designation is an asset.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort St John, BC and collaborate effectively with a professional accounting team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to ethical, confidential handling of financial information.
