Job Overview

We’re an established group of trade contractors whose customers are general contractors, builders and property managers. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do well: get paid for the work our crews have already done.

What you’ll do

- Own the receivables. You know every open invoice, how old it is, and what’s holding it up.
- Collect. Email first, then phone. Follow up until the money is in. No “sent a statement and waited.”
- Fix what’s blocking payment yourself.
- Wrong contact or email: find the right person.
- Wrong billing name or entity: correct it and reissue.
- No PO: get one, or get it noted and approved.
- Missing site sign-off on a work order: chase the site super until it’s signed.
- A disputed invoice: find out why, gather the backup and resolve it.
- Build the collections process. Set the steps by age (30, 60, 90, 120+ days): when to email, when to call, when to go over someone’s head, when to escalate to management or put a lien on the job. Then follow it every week.
- Stop problems before they start. Check that invoices go out with the right billing entity,



a PO number and signed work orders attached.
- Report weekly. Aging summary, what came in, what’s stuck and why.

Who you are
- 2+ years in AR or collections. Construction or trades experience is a strong asset: you know GCs, POs, holdbacks and site approvals.
- Comfortable on the phone, and persistent without burning the relationship.
- You solve problems on your own. You’ll have a manager, but you don’t wait to be told what to do next.
- Organized: you track every invoice, every follow-up and every promise to pay.
- QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Strong Excel.
