Role Description The AI Agent Engineer will design, build, and optimize agentic AI solutions that integrate large language models, tools, and enterprise systems to solve real-world business challenges. This contract, remote role involves developing and orchestrating AI agents, defining workflows, and implementing integrations with APIs, data sources, and backend services. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical designs, prototyping and iterating agent behavior, and ensuring reliability, security,



and performance in production environments.

The AI Agent Engineer will also monitor and refine agent performance, address edge cases, apply guardrails, and contribute to best practices and documentation for scalable AI agent architectures. The role includes participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge with peers, and staying current with advances in LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and agent orchestration tools.

Qualifications

- Strong software engineering skills with experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar, and familiarity with modern development practices (APIs, microservices, CI/CD).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI) and frameworks for building AI agents or workflows (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG solutions).
- Knowledge of data engineering and integration concepts, including RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and working with structured/unstructured data sources.
- Understanding of cloud and platform engineering (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and deploying scalable AI services.
- Experience designing secure, reliable AI solutions with attention to model safety, prompt engineering, guardrails, observability, and performance optimization.
