Overview:

The Auto Body Production Manager is responsible for overseeing shop production flow, with a focus on sublet work, detailing operations, technician job assignments, and quality control. This role ensures vehicles move efficiently through the repair process to meet or exceed target delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities

Sublet Management:

- Forecast and coordinate all sublet work with vendors.

- Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) and schedule sublet jobs at the right time to avoid delays.

Detail Department Oversight:

- Schedule and coordinate pre-washes for incoming repair vehicles and final cleans for deliveries.

- Oversee detailers’ schedules and workload to maintain efficiency.

Technician Work Assignment:

- Understand technicians’ skill sets and assign jobs accordingly.

- Balance workloads with a mix of small, medium, and heavy repairs to keep productivity high.

Quality Control:





- Work with technicians to uphold quality standards throughout the repair process.

- Manage expectations with technicians and perform final quality checks on all vehicles before delivery.

Administrative Duties:

- Enter and update labor assignments in the management system.

- Track and report on production status and completion timelines.

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

- Experience in auto body shop operations required.

- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, technicians, and management.

- Knowledge of repair processes, sublet coordination, and quality control standards.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
