Experienced Automotive Shop Manager – Collision & Mechanical Repair

We are looking for a highly experienced, confident, and hands-on Automotive Shop Manager to independently oversee and manage a busy collision and mechanical repair facility.

This position requires a strong leader with extensive automotive industry experience who can take full responsibility for daily operations, manage employees, make decisions, and ensure the shop runs efficiently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all daily collision and mechanical repair operations.
- Manage and supervise mechanics, body technicians, painters, and shop staff.
- Assign jobs, monitor productivity, and ensure repairs are completed on schedule.
- Handle repair estimates, insurance claims, and customer inquiries.
- Coordinate parts ordering, suppliers, and workflow.
- Perform quality control and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resolve operational issues independently.
- Maintain high standards of efficiency, organization, and profitability.

Requirements





- Proven experience managing an automotive repair shop or collision center.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair, bodywork, painting, and mechanical operations.
- Experience with insurance estimates and claims.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
- Ability to independently manage the entire facility.
- Experience with Mitchell, Audatex, or similar software is an asset.
