Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and baking a variety of baked goods, including pastries and cakes.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision and creativity using cake decorating techniques.
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and quality.
- Package baked items carefully for sale or delivery, maintaining presentation standards.
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling products.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area by sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with purchases.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic cooking and baking skills; experience with cake decorating is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail in food presentation and packaging.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
- Kitchen experience involving food preparation, baking, or cooking is highly desirable.
