Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling snacks or light meals in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including counters, equipment, and dining areas
- Manage cash transactions accurately using basic math skills; ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Follow food safety protocols during food handling and serving to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for efficient transactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order totals, and change calculation
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines during food preparation and serving processes
- Food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
