Job Summary

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Edmonton, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment, including inventory management and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations

- Prepare and post journal entries

- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures

- Maintain fixed asset schedules

- Monitor and reconcile inventory records

- Track inventory movements, adjustments, and valuations

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

- Liaise with external accountants.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.





- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment

- Solid understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software QuickBooks

- Experience reconciling inventory systems to financial records

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

- Preferred Experience with manufacturing ERP systems

- Preferred Knowledge of inventory costing methods (FIFO, weighted average, standard costing)

- Preferred Experience supporting month-end inventory valuation processes

- Understanding of production-related inventory transactions, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods accounting

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
