We're recruiting for a Freelance Accessibility Specialist to conduct a comprehensive ADA/AODA compliance audit for two existing websites. The goal is to evaluate current accessibility standards, identify compliance gaps, and provide explicit recommendations for improvement.
Project ScopePerform a full accessibility audit of two live websitesEvaluate compliance against ADA and AODA standards (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum preferred)Identify accessibility barriers affecting users with disabilitiesProvide a detailed written report outlining:Areas of non-complianceSeverity level of issuesRecommended remediation stepsPrioritized action planShare the checklist or methodology used to conduct the auditResponsibilitiesUse both automated tools and manual testing methodsReview site structure, navigation, forms, media, and interactive elementsAssess keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, color contrast, and semantic structureDeliver findings in a clear, organized, and actionable formatBe available to clarify findings and answer follow-up questions3-7 years of professional experience in WordPress developmentProven experience conducting ADA/AODA website accessibility auditsStrong understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1 guidelines (AA compliance required)Experience preparing formal accessibility compliance reportsFamiliarity with accessibility testing tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe,
