Business Administrator (Purchasing, Systems and IT)

Thermex Engineered Systems, Abbotsford BC

We design and build industrial heating equipment in Abbotsford: hydronic and waterline heaters, tank heating systems, heat probes, and the controls that run them.

This role keeps the business side moving: purchasing, small customer orders, records and the office IT. We want someone who uses AI tools to get through admin faster, and who is curious about how our systems work rather than only how to click through them.

What you'll do

- Purchasing: place purchase orders, chase delivery dates, project inventory needs
- Handle small customer orders from inquiry to shipping.
- Work with our accounting staff on bills, invoices and records.
- Office IT: Microsoft 365 accounts and licences, setting up laptops and tablets, keeping the basics running.
- Help test our in-house production and inventory software, and suggest what it should do next. You will be one of the people using it every day.
- Keep records and documents organized and easy to find.

What we're looking for

- Office or business admin experience.
- You already use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) in your everyday work,



and can show us something you got done with them.
- Comfortable with computers beyond the basics: setting up accounts, fixing a sign-in problem, learning current software quickly.
- Organized, and you follow through without reminders.

Bonus, not required

- QuickBooks Desktop, Xero or other accounting software.
- Purchasing, inventory or shipping experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing business.
- Any technical background. You will be around heaters, wiring, plc's and machines every day.
- Software testing experience.
- You use AI tools to build your own tools or automations, on your own initiative.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
