Job Description

General Summary

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for providing value to our customers. This is done by maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the company's standards. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities

- Operate cleaning equipment and other assigned equipment throughout the warehouse and office safely and efficiently, consistent with company quality and productivity standards.
- Follow assigned sanitation schedules, logs, procedures, and requirements.
- Properly use and understand assigned cleaning materials, chemicals, liquids, and supplies in accordance with company safety procedures.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning and sanitation supplies and communicate reorder needs to management.
- Ensure floors and assigned work areas are maintained free of debris.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional appearance throughout assigned areas.
- Conduct all work activities in a manner that promotes a safe work environment.
- Identify and report unkempt or improperly maintained areas from previous shifts to the supervisor.
- Remove snow and perform other seasonal cleaning duties as required.
- When trained and authorized to operate a sweeper/scrubber, inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it is in proper working and cosmetic condition.




- Identify and manage waste or debris that may need to be removed or eliminated to help maintain a continuous and efficient workflow.
- Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, sanitation concerns, and facility issues to management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, sanitation, security, and quality.
- Support additional cleaning, sanitation, and facility maintenance activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, custodial, or related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to complete assigned responsibilities and follow safety and sanitation requirements.

Requirements, Perks, and Benefits (CA -- Salaried & CA -- Hourly)

If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, Functional French (written and spoken) is required.
