Very well-known Pastry Shop Take THE Cake is looking for Full-Time Barista/ Pastry Cook.

We offer variety of Espresso based drinks to Pastry, Cheesecake and our signature short breads. We make everything from scratch in our Bakery. Our goal has been providing the best experience by using high-quality ingredients, providing great service.

Responsibilities

- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts according to customer requests and design specifications.
- Prepare buttercream, frosting, fillings, and other decorating materials.
- Bake and assemble fresh pastries, desserts, and light food items according to established recipes and food safety standards.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle food safely following proper food handling procedures and safety guidelines




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food handling and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely preparation of food and beverages during busy periods.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies, rotating stock, and communicating needs to the team.

Previous

- Food service experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred; familiarity with the food industry standards is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in serving customers with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order calculations, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling procedures, and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
