Your Daily Hustle (Key Responsibilities)

Own the final touchpoint of the customer journey by creating a fast, friendly, and memorable checkout experience. Bring positive energy to every interaction, accurately process transactions, and help ensure every customer leaves feeling valued and inspired by the Steve Madden brand.

- Own the customer experience from the final touchpoint to the last impression. Welcome every customer with confidence, personality, and positive energy while delivering a fast, friendly, and seamless checkout experience.
- Stay connected to the brand. Maintain strong knowledge of Steve Madden products, collections, promotions, and seasonal campaigns to confidently answer customer questions and support sales opportunities at the cash wrap.
- Help keep the store looking its best. Support daily store recovery, merchandising standards, and overall cleanliness, including the sales floor, cash area, stockroom, and employee spaces.
- Support inventory flow. Assist with receiving shipments, replenishing merchandise, organizing stock, and ensuring product is available and presentation-ready on the sales floor.




- Execute with accuracy and attention to detail. Follow all company policies, procedures, pricing standards, cash handling practices, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash, credit, gift card, and exchange transactions while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain register accountability. Support opening, closing, and balancing procedures to ensure POS transactions align with daily sales reports.
- Grow our customer community. Capture customer information, including email addresses and loyalty sign-ups, while promoting current campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Keep the cash wrap organized and guest-ready. Maintain a clean, stylish, and efficient checkout area that reflects the Steve Madden brand experience.
- Collaborate with the team. Jump in where needed, support store goals, and contribute to an energetic, positive, and results-driven environment.
- Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned to support store operations and business needs.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift.
- Ability to safely use a ladder up to 10 feet in height.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

- Minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to process information or merchandise through computer and POS register system.
- Ability to work a adaptable schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends and/or holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
