Job Summary

VP Protection is seeking professional, customer-focused Concierge Security Guards to join our team at various residential and commercial properties in Toronto and North York. The ideal candidates will provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for residents, visitors, tenants, and employees while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle security-related situations professionally.

We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and assist residents, visitors, tenants, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor and control access to the property, including verifying visitors and maintaining visitor logs.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering telephone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing visitors as required.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and building security systems.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property and inspect designated areas to identify security concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and resident or tenant concerns.
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and access control procedures.
- Receive and manage deliveries, packages, and other front desk requests in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handover notes.
- Communicate effectively with property management, residents, visitors, and the security team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk presence.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:





- Valid security guard license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Correctional Services. - Do not have a security license? We can help. Careers – VP Protection
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Previous concierge, security, customer service, or front desk experience is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow site-specific procedures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with email, visitor management systems, and CCTV equipment are assets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on site requirements
