Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong analytical skills, construction industry knowledge, and proficiency with estimating software.

The Construction

Estimator will play a vital role in securing profitable projects and maintaining competitive pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Utilize estimation software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment costs, and market conditions to ensure accurate pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to management for approval.
- Monitor project scope changes and update estimates accordingly throughout the bidding process.
- Assist in developing project budgets and schedules based on estimation data.




- Maintain organized records of all estimating documents and correspondence for future reference.

Skills

- Proficiency with XACTIMATE IS A MUST.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of construction estimating techniques and pricing strategies.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and produce accurate cost projections.
- Construction experience is highly preferred to enhance understanding of project requirements.
