*La version française suit Company Description Headquartered in Montreal, Detroit and Munich, Vention helps manufacturers automate their operations in record time with the only hardware and software AI-powered platform built for the factory floor. Our technology powers over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories across 5 continents and we have the privilege to work with a significant proportion of Fortune 500 manufacturers, from space rockets, to electrical cars, to robotics. At Vention, you’ll work alongside driven and talented people who care deeply about their craft and the impact they create. We’re a team of high achievers who grow through meaningful work, solving complex challenges, learning fast, and seeing the results of our efforts every day. We move quickly and aim high, but we do it together with care, collaboration, and respect. Our culture celebrates diverse perspectives and supports your growth through intentional development, strong leadership, and opportunities to make a real difference. What You’ll Do We are looking for a Product Manager to own VOps, Vention’s internal operational platform used daily by Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, and Assembly teams. This role sits at the intersection of Planning, Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Engineering. You will define and prioritize the roadmap for VOps, turn operational pain points into clear requirements, and partner closely with engineering to ship features that make Vention’s internal operations faster, more accurate, and easier to run. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between hands‑on data analysis, detailed requirements writing, and cross‑functional coordination, and is energized by digging into how a warehouse, production floor, or planning process actually works before proposing a solution. Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Own the roadmap for VOps, balancing requests from Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, and Planning against engineering capacity and strategic priorities.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve operational workflows — picking, shipping, inventory planning, MRP, production orders, and related processes.
- Represent the voice of operational users in planning discussions, and translate broad business goals into a phased, achievable plan. Requirements & Delivery
- Write clear, structured requirements and specs (context, current behavior, expected behavior) that engineering can build against with minimal back‑and‑forth.
- Translate mockups, workflows, and stakeholder input into detailed acceptance criteria and edge cases.
- Partner with engineering throughout the build cycle — clarifying scope, triaging bugs, and validating that shipped functionality matches intent.
- Draft and distribute release notes and rollout communications so operational teams understand what changed and why. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Build and maintain Metabase reports and dashboards that give operational teams and leadership visibility into shipments, inventory, orders, and production activity.
- Use product analytics (e.g. session and interaction data) to identify usability issues and measure the impact of shipped improvements.
- Investigate operational anomalies (e.g. shipping date discrepancies, picking errors, data logging gaps)

using activity logs and database analysis to find root cause. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact between VOps engineering and its operational stakeholders across Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, and Planning.
- Run or contribute to recurring cross-team meetings (e.g. scheduling and planning syncs) with the reporting needed to support decisions.
- Produce regular status updates and release summaries for engineering leadership and the broader business.
- Contribute to quarterly roadmap and planning materials for a general business audience. What You Bring to the Table
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, business/data analysis, or a related operations‑fac‑ing role, ideally supporting supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or fulfillment operations.
- Experience with WMS, MRP/inventory planning, warehouse operations, or ERP‑adjacent systems is an asset.
- Hands‑on proficiency for data investigation and analysis; comfort working directly in a production or warehouse database.
- Experience building reports/dashboards in a BI tool (e.g. Metabase, Looker, Tableau).
- Solid requirements‑writing skills — able to turn ambiguous problems into clear, engineering‑ready specs.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, and Planning teams, including stakeholders who are not technical.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Slack, Notion, and Figma for day‑to‑day product work.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to tailor updates to different audiences (engineering detail vs. executive summary).
