Kemp Care Network is a community-based hospice in Hamilton, Ontario, dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care and support to individuals and families. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our team and help create welcoming dining experiences. This is an opportunity to combine your culinary skills with meaningful work in a warm, supportive environment where every day makes a difference.

Part-time hours are available (shift lengths vary during our kitchen hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Hourly wage starting at $18.58 per hour.

In this role you will:

- Prepare meals based upon Canada Food Guide.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic setting, including stove, fridge, sinks, countertops, back walls, dishwasher, interior and exterior cupboards.
- Inform management when items need to be replaced or repaired
- Washes pots, pans, trays and dishes by hand then placing in sanitizer.
- Ensure food is kept covered and stored in a hygienic manner.
- Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
- Sanitize dishwasher as needed.
- Closely follow all Public Health & Safety Standards at all times.

Qualifications:





- Sound knowledge of all types of food preparation and presentation
- Experience Cooking for a large group would be an asset
- Canadian Food Handlers Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
