We are seeking a friendly and reliable Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our fruit shop. This role involves serving customers, processing payments, preparing fresh fruit and drinks, and keeping the shop clean and organized. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, pays attention to detail, and works well in a busy team environment.
Duties
- Greet customers, answer menu questions, and take orders accurately
- Operate the POS system and process cash, credit, and digital payments
- Wash, peel, and cut fruit safely and efficiently
- Prepare fruit bowls and drinks according to shop recipes and portion guidelines
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and proper food storage procedures
- Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, preparation areas, and customer standing areas
- Restock ingredients, packaging, and other supplies
- Assist with opening and closing tasks
- Work with team members to keep service running smoothly during busy periods
Skills and Qualifications
- Friendly attitude and robust customer service skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to cleanliness, food quality, and presentation
- Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks
- Basic math skills and accuracy when handling payments
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform food preparation tasks
- Previous food service, cashier, or customer service experience is an asset
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
Pay: From $17.60 per hour Expected hours: No less than 12.0 per week
