Customer Service Specialist

Rosemont General Store | Rosemont, Ontario Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Compensation: $17.95 per hour

About the Role

Rosemont General Store is looking for an energetic, friendly, and dependable Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on customer service role in a busy general store workplace where retail and foodservice come together. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing great service, and is comfortable moving between different responsibilities throughout their shift.

The ideal candidate has previous retail and foodservice experience, is Smart Serve Certified, and has the flexibility to work a full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do

- Provide friendly, attentive service to customers
- Assist customers with purchases, questions, and general store needs
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process transactions
- Support day-to-day retail and foodservice operations
- Assist with stocking, merchandising, product displays, and maintaining store presentation
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming customer and work areas
- Handle food and beverage items safely and responsibly
- Work collaboratively with other team members during busy periods
- Complete opening, closing, and other general store duties as required
- Provide responsible alcohol service in accordance with Smart Serve requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Current Smart Serve Certification
- Previous experience in retail, foodservice, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment
- Availability to work full-time,

- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Able to stay organized and provide positive customer service in a busy environment
