We are hiring a Dental Assistant!

Are you a friendly, motivated and caring Dental Assistant looking for a excellent place to work? Dr. Erin Manicom and the team at Wellington Dental are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team.

We are passionate about providing excellent patent care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are looking for someone who shares that commitment and enjoys making patients comfortable and confident in their dental care.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Take dental radiographs and use intraoral cameras for documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while ensuring sterilization standards are met
- Help patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visits
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation using dental practice management software (AbelDent)
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal health outcomes




- Support the dental team with administrative tasks (ie. digital charting), scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries as necessary

Qualifications and Qualities We Are Looking For:

- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant Level II (ideally)
- Proficiency in dental software systems (AbelDent used in office- will provide training on this specific software)
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
