POSITION SUMMARY The Dough Mixer is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing dough for production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mixing & Quality Control

· Measure and mix ingredients to produce dough according to specified formulas.

· Operate mixing equipment and ensure dough consistency meets production standards.

· Record batch details on formula sheets and verify ingredient usage.

Equipment & Process Management

· Ensure mixing equipment is properly set up, operated, and maintained.

· Troubleshoot minor production issues to prevent delays.

· Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate replenishment needs.

Sanitation & Compliance

· Maintain a clean and organized mixing area, including proper sanitation of equipment.

· Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance.

· Follow allergen handling procedures when required.

Collaboration & Workflow Support

· Coordinate with production teams to ensure dough is prepared on schedule.





· Assist in optimizing mixing processes for efficiency and quality improvement.

· Support additional tasks assigned by supervisors as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Ability to coordinate and communicate with other team members

· Excellent physical condition, able to lift and move heavy materials and machinery.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Must be comfortable working in a hot setting (Bakery floor)

· Standing: Remain on feet for extended periods during shift operations.

· Lifting: Handle bagged flour and other ingredients

· Pushing: Move dough batches and bowls, weighing up to 500 lbs.

· Shoveling: Scale and transfer shortening from the holding bin to the mixing bowl, handling weights of around 20 lbs.
