Proactive Industrial Inc. is searching for a Drafter/Designer with experience in a custom metal fabrication shop environment. Experience in Solid Edge would be considered an asset, but we are willing to train.

Proactive Industrial provides Custom Design, Fabrication, Installation, and Millwright services to the local industries, including feed manufacturing facilities, pet food plants, food processing plants and aggregate plants. Responsibilities and Duties

- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment and bulk handling systems, using Solid Edge or Solid Works
- Model sheet metal fabrications, create shop drawings and cut file packages for lasers, waterjet etc.
- Model machined parts and release packages to machine shops
- Integrate mechanical components
- Create P&ID;'s
- Provide technical assistance to shop fabricators
- Assist with Project management
- Assist with Purchasing
- Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.

Qualifications and Skills

- 1-3 years experience in Metal Fabrication, Sheet metal and Structural design would be considered an asset
- Must have a strong understanding of metal fabricating, machining, and welding procedures
