We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role involves transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, along with supporting general labour tasks when driving duties are lighter. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate trucks within the city to complete pickups, including collecting items from outdoor bins and occasionally clearing abandoned goods from indoor units
- Perform occasional out-of-town driving for removals
- Deliver and remove appliances and furniture for store operations
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently
- Assist with shop tasks during slower driving periods, including cleaning and appliance stripping
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles
- Keep accurate delivery and pickup records
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Clean driving record
- Robust time management and reliability
- Ability to lift and handle heavy items
- Good work ethic and willingness to perform both driving and labour tasks
