About the Role

Do you love music, working with young children, and bringing smiles to their faces? Aurora Music Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and organized Early Childhood Music Teacher to lead fun, engaging group music classes for children ages 3–7.

We use the AMA curriculum to introduce young children to the joy of music through rhythm, music reading, percussion instruments, and keyboards. Our classes combine learning with movement, creativity, laughter, and plenty of silliness!

We are looking for someone who understands that teaching young children requires more than musical knowledge. Personality, patience, creativity, and the ability to keep a group of little musicians engaged and organized are essential.

Responsibilities

- Teach small-group music classes for children ages 3–7 using the AMA curriculum.
- Introduce basic rhythm, music reading, percussion instruments, and keyboard skills.
- Create a fun, welcoming environment where children feel confident exploring music.
- Use songs, games, movement, humour, and playful activities to keep children engaged.
- Manage group activities while maintaining structure, positive behaviour, and smooth transitions.
- Follow lesson plans and maintain an organized classroom.
- Communicate positively and professionally with parents and the AMA team.
- Encourage each child's musical development, creativity, and confidence.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 3–7 in early childhood education, music education, preschool, daycare, or similar settings.
- A musical background and comfort with basic keyboard skills, rhythm, and percussion.




- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- An energetic, warm, playful personality with a genuine love for young children.
- Confidence leading groups, keeping children focused, and adapting to their needs.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Early childhood education or music teaching experience is an asset. We welcome applicants who have the right combination of musical ability, enthusiasm, and a natural connection with young children.

You are someone who can happily sing, dance, make silly sounds, play rhythm games, and get down to a child's level—while still keeping the class organized and on track!

You understand that fun and structure go hand in hand. You can make children laugh while helping them learn, listen, take turns, follow directions, and develop a love of music.
