Subterra HDD is hiring an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team.
We offer competitive wages, overtime opportunities, living-out allowance, and long weekends and holidays off. Applicants must be willing to travel throughout Saskatchewan and work extended hours (12+ hours/day). Projects within the next year + are located within 1 hour of Regina, SK.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders and other heavy equipment
- Assist with HDD operations and underground utility installations
- Complete excavation, trenching, backfilling and site preparation
- Load, unload and transport equipment and materials
- Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance and equipment setup
- Maintain secure, clean worksites and support crew members as needed
- Follow safe work practices and participate in HSE activities
Qualifications
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience required
- HDD, underground utility or pipeline experience an asset
- Valid Class 5 license and clean driver's abstract; Class 1A preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude, work ethic and communication skills
- First Aid/CPR-C, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance II, SCOT, WHMIS/TDG and PCST certifications considered an asset
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
