Responsibilities

- Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on calculus topics such as limits, derivatives, integrals, and applications.
- Assess students’ understanding and tailor lessons to meet their individual learning needs and goals.
- Use clear explanations and active teaching techniques to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
- Support students in developing problem-solving strategies and effective study habits.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas needing further review.
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that boosts student confidence and engagement.

Experience





- Prior experience working with young adults in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated tutoring or teaching experience in mathematics, especially calculus or related subjects.
- Strong knowledge of math fundamentals, including algebra, trigonometry etc.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those with special education needs or learning differences.
- Proficiency in computer skills and educational technology tools used for virtual or in-person tutoring sessions.
- Classroom experience or training that enhances your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals through innovative teaching methods.

This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to share their math expertise while gaining valuable teaching experience in a vibrant learning environment. Availability: Must be available Saturday and Sunday early afternoon (2 hour blocks) for a total of 4 hours over the weekend.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 per week
