About the Role

Gold’s Gym Calgary is looking for a motivated, personable, and sales-driven Fitness Assessor & Personal Training Sales Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will help members take the next step in their fitness journey by conducting fitness assessments, understanding their goals, identifying their training needs, and recommending appropriate personal training programs.

You will play an significant role in connecting members with the right Personal Trainer while supporting personal training sales, member retention, and the growth of our personal training department.

Key Responsibilities

Fitness Assessments & Member Consultations

- Conduct fitness assessments for new and existing gym members.
- Identify members’ fitness goals, needs, and opportunities for personal training.
- Present personalized personal training recommendations based on assessment findings.
- Connect members with the appropriate Personal Trainer to support their goals.
- Schedule follow-up assessments for members approaching personal training package renewals.

Personal Training Sales

- Present and sell personal training packages to new and existing members.
- Manage the process from initial fitness assessment through needs analysis and personal training sale.
- Identify renewal opportunities and present appropriate package renewals or upgrades.
- Proactively approach members and prospects on the gym floor to generate interest in personal training.




- Contribute to personal training sales and overall club revenue growth.

Member Retention & Follow-Up

- Contact personal training clients with past-due balances to assist with payment follow-up and collection efforts.
- Maintain consistent communication with members regarding personal training opportunities and renewals.
- Work collaboratively with the Personal Training Director to identify sales and retention opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay of $20.00 per hour for all scheduled working hours.
- Additional sales commission based on personal training revenue collected.

- The ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- A genuine interest in fitness, health, and helping people achieve their goals.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and alternating Saturdays.
- Experience in personal training sales, fitness assessments, gym memberships, customer service, or consultative sales is an asset.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
