Air Canada is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join the Air Canada IT team. As a Product Owner within the SAP Reporting and Analytics team, the successful candidate will promote Agile working methods and continuous improvement within the product teams and the business unit. They will ensure the operational excellence of our key tools, notably SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and S/4HANA Analytics. They will build strong relationships with business partners, acting as a trusted resource for all requests from the SAP Reporting and Analytics team. Their role will notably consist of providing timely knowledge and business cases to the management team, ensuring that impacts on operations and products are communicated effectively.

The person occupying the Product Owner position acts as the link between business needs and technical delivery, application support, implementation partners, and suppliers, to ensure the setup of capabilities regarding reporting, analysis, data products, and planning,



while supporting the overall modernization of the company's planning and reporting workplace. This position requires excellent stakeholder management, the ability to translate complex operational processes into clear product requirements, as well as a commitment to the continuous improvement of the way teams bring added value. The successful candidate must possess skills in data platform product ownership and implementation leadership, in addition to having a passion for the travel industry and being comfortable working in a highly dynamic and collaborative fast-paced environment focused on adoption, governance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

- Provide advice and support, and ensure the quality of key elements, notably tables, views, stories, scenarios, and integrations within the SAP Reporting and Analytics team environment.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, planning, and the reporting production cycle, and identify opportunities for digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Lead initiatives aimed at increasing adoption and fostering continuous improvement.
- Translate management methods and operational workflows into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Support the Chief Product Officer in implementing the roadmap related to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and in promoting architecture principles based on best practices.




- Identify opportunities to modernize the reporting and planning framework and assume management and responsibility for the product backlog, ensuring that functionalities and improvements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and prioritize items, improvements, incidents, and service requests related to the product backlog.
- Work in close collaboration with other teams, notably the application management services partner, the implementation partner, and suppliers, to ensure prevention, deadline management, and resolution of production-related issues.
- Monitor and improve data quality across all reporting solutions. Collaborate with governance teams to implement and maintain reliable and reusable data assets, as well as to meet requirements regarding data security, access management, and compliance.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology, computer science, analytics, finance, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience with SAP analytics and reporting solutions or data platforms primarily focused on SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Experience in the field of data and analytics, notably in integration, data modeling and transformation, and knowledge of concepts related to data warehousing and reporting solutions.
- Proven experience in product ownership, notably in the fields of business analysis, digital product implementation, solution development, or consulting services.
- SAP certification in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, or SAP Datasphere, an asset.
