PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is a 24,000 square foot truss manufacturing facility in Coldstream, BC. The plant was completed in December 2024. We are looking for hard working and experienced team members to join this exciting venture.

About the Role
PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for skilled Designers to work with our design software to prepare truss and wall panel layouts, designs and estimates for finished packages for various building component projects. Applicants should have some familiarity with truss/wall panel design software and a desire to learn. Experience with both single family home design as well as multi-unit dwellings is an asset.

Responsibilities
- Buildaccurate3D models from blueprints usingspecialized industry designsoftware
- Design trusses, wall panels and floors for production - considering efficient use of material - and on time delivery.
- Analyze technical documents andreports
- Provide quotations to customers and process successful sales orders.
What We Need from You
- Previous design experience , with preference given to truss and wall panel design.
- Good math skills including, but not limited to architectural units, fractions, geometry, and basic trigonometry
- Understanding of or training inengineering and design concepts
- Understanding ofcode requirements and loading conditions as they relate to truss structuraldesign
- Ability to readand understand construction documents.
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn, navigate, and adapt to new software and systems quickly.
- Highly proficient with computers and able to adopt new technology tools with ease.
- Comfortable working in digital environments and learning new applications as needed.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time expeditiously to complete tasksin a timelymanner.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’sdegree and/or completion of a two- to three-year college program in architectural technology or a related subject.
Note : p osted salary ranges are for base purposes and that salary will be commensurate with experience.
