Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Construction Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting various phases of construction projects, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with basic construction tools and procedures.

This position offers opportunities for hands-on experience across multiple trades and project types, contributing to the successful completion of residential projects.

Duties

- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work workplace.
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other trades by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Help with concrete forming, finishing, and related masonry activities as needed.
- Assist in drywall installation, taping, mudding, and sanding to prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
- Support framing activities including layout work based on schematics or blueprints.
- Aid in caulking, sealing, painting preparation, flooring installation, tile laying, or cabinet installation depending on project requirements.




- Operate heavy equipment under supervision when trained and certified.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
- Contribute to project estimations by providing accurate measurements and material needs when required.
- Experience hanging interior doors.

Experience

- Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is advantageous but not required.
- Experience with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills; power tools including grinders or saws; and specialized equipment like concrete mixers or lifts is beneficial.
- Knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, drywall installation, or flooring is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely after proper training is desirable.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment is essential.

This role provides valuable experience across multiple facets of construction projects while supporting the overall success of our team’s efforts in building quality structures efficiently and safely. Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
