Job Overview

Bailey Buildings Inc. & Bailey Septic Services is a locally owned and operated construction company looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated General Labourer / Construction Worker to join our growing team.

We specialize in pole barn and post-frame construction, steel roofing and siding, commercial and residential buildings, general construction, and septic system installations and repairs.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well with others, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the job site.

This position offers a variety of work, hands-on experience in different areas of construction, and opportunities to develop valuable building and equipment skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the construction of pole barns, post-frame buildings, shops, garages, and other commercial and residential structures.
- Support framing, structural assembly, installation of posts, trusses and other building components.
- Assist with the installation of steel roofing, metal siding, trim, flashing, soffit, and fascia.
- Measure, cut, and install lumber, steel panels, and other construction materials.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, and construction equipment.
- Read and follow basic construction drawings, measurements, and building plans.
- Assist with concrete work, site preparation, and general construction activities.
- Support septic system installations, repairs,



and replacements as required.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with equipment operation and material handling when properly trained.
- Perform general labour duties, including lifting, measuring, cutting, assembling, and job site cleanup.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Perform additional construction-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, framing, pole barn construction, steel roofing, siding, or related trades is an asset.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general construction equipment.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble building materials.
- Experience working with steel roofing, siding, and post-frame construction is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights with appropriate safety training and equipment, and in varying weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing demanding construction tasks.
- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, or other construction equipment is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute positively to a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail,



and pride in workmanship.
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist with a variety of construction projects.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment handling.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to arrive on time, prepared and ready for a full day's work.

Previous construction experience is preferred; however, we value a robust work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
