Grade 5 English Tutor, Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT)
Help one student. Change one family's life. Rediscover why you became a teacher.
At TeachItRight, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, regardless of the challenges they face.
TeachItRight was founded after seeing firsthand how many incredible students are slipping through the cracks of an increasingly overwhelmed education system. Too many families are searching for support, and too many passionate teachers no longer have the time, resources, or opportunity to provide the individualized teaching they know their students deserve. We created TeachItRight to change that.
Our mission is simple. To connect exceptional educators with students who need them most while giving teachers the skilled respect, autonomy, and support they deserve.
We are building a community where educators can focus on what they do best. Teaching. Building relationships. Celebrating progress. Helping children discover what they are truly capable of.
Our Current Opportunity
We are currently hiring for our Ontario Certified Teacher Program (OCT), welcoming educators who are beginning or building their teaching careers to provide in-home educational support for a Grade 5 student in Toronto, Ontario, M4J 2X8.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to recent Teachers College graduates, occasional teachers, and educators gaining experience in the Ontario education system.
This student would benefit from a creative, engaging approach to English instruction that helps build her confidence and enjoyment of learning. She has an interest in history, mythology, and storytelling, which could be incorporated into lessons whenever appropriate.

- Has interest in history, mythology, and storytelling, which can be incorporated into her English lessons.
- Would benefit from creative, interest-based approaches to literacy instruction.
- Is working toward developing stronger foundational skills while rediscovering her enjoyment of learning.
Her family is looking for an educator who will become another trusted part of her learning journey. Together, you will focus on strengthening her literacy skills,
encouraging creativity, and helping her develop greater confidence and enjoyment in her learning. We believe the best outcomes happen when teachers are not doing it alone.
At TeachItRight, we do not just match teachers with students. We bring together teachers and families who are committed to working as one team. That means families who value your professional expertise. Families who communicate openly. Families who understand that meaningful progress is built through consistency, collaboration, and trust.
You will never be expected to navigate challenges on your own. You will have a leadership team that checks in, listens, problem-solves alongside you, and genuinely wants you to succeed because we know that when our teachers feel supported, our students succeed too.
If this sounds like you, we would love to learn more about you.
