About the Role

Our client, a prestigious architectural firm known for its innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs, is seeking a visionary Senior Design Architect to lead design initiatives in Kimberley . This role requires a creative individual with a strong portfolio and extensive experience in designing commercial and residential projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for leading design teams, conceptualizing groundbreaking architectural solutions, and ensuring the artistic integrity and functional performance of projects. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the conceptual design and development of architectural projects, including commercial buildings, residential complexes, and mixed-use developments.
- Develop and present innovative design concepts to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating architectural vision.
- Oversee and mentor junior architectural staff, guiding them through the design process.
- Ensure all designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles in Kimberley .
- Collaborate closely with engineers, urban planners, and other consultants to ensure integrated and cohesive project outcomes.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings,



specifications, and presentation materials.
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
- Stay abreast of current architectural trends, materials, and technologies.
- Manage design project timelines and budgets effectively.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Professional registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on commercial and residential projects.
- Demonstrated portfolio of successfully completed architectural projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering programs.
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant South African building regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creative flair and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Ability to manage client relationships and project expectations effectively in the Northern Cape .
