Overview

We are seeking a skilled 4th year or Journeyman HD Mechanic to join our team at Slasher Mechanical. As a HD Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of Trucks, cranes, machinery and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. Experience with Engine rebuilding, engine diagnostics, and electronic diagnostics are an asset and potential employees with this knowledge would be given priority.

Duties

- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests on machinery and equipment
- Identify mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Assemble, disassemble, and reassemble machinery components as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts and changing fluids
- Operate heavy machinery, such as cranes or forklifts, to move equipment when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions

Requirements: -Proven experience as a Mechanic with repair and diagnostic experience. Looking for a 3rd year, 4th year, or journeyman for the position.





-Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment. Oilfield experience is an asset.

-Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and/or hydraulic systems.

-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

-Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Solid communication skills and ability to work well in a team without direct supervision.

-Experience with Electronic diagnostics with Cummins, Cat, Detroit Diesel, Kenworth, Western star, and Freightliners would be preferred.

Pay: $29.00-$42.00 per hour

Experience:

- Heavy Duty Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)
