About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Lead Construction Project Manager to spearhead major construction initiatives in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This pivotal role requires an individual with a proven history of successfully delivering complex building projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, and a sharp business acumen. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and procurement to project execution and closeout. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for large-scale construction projects.
- Lead, manage, and motivate project teams, including site staff, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and material sourcing.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations,



and environmental policies throughout the construction process.
- Manage client relationships, providing regular project updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee progress, quality, and safety.
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and change orders.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior role.
- Demonstrable experience managing projects valued at over R50 million.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in South Africa.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with contract administration and dispute resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
