ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the Oro site team, the Primary Plant Operator position will execute the daily tasks of maintaining and operating an aggregate processing plant in accordance with Amrize’s best practices and policies as well as perform all administration related to the equipment’s operation.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

- Daily operations of a stationary crushing plant while meeting safety and production targets.
- Promote safety culture through engagement with employees, Joint Health and Safety Coordinators, subcontractors and suppliers, implementation and maintenance of local and regional initiatives with an objective of zero safety incidents.
- Promote safety policies, processes and review procedures to ensure the site meets or exceeds all Amrize and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure that the plant and surrounding site is kept safe, presentable and functional.
- Ensure assigned equipment is operated to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly,



and annual inspections regarding preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed.
- Perform other duties assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the plant and site.
- Work the afternoon shift (approximately 11:00 am to 10:00 pm) Monday to Friday with optional Saturdays.
- Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Education: Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Industrial plant operation experience or heavy equipment operation experience considered assets.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Training in First aid, WHMIS, Surface Miner, confined space, and working-at-heights.
- Specific mobile equipment training.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform extensive manual labor tasks.
- Computer literacy is an asset.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Respitarator wearers must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the fit tests.
