About the Role

Our client, a leading property valuation firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Appraiser to join their team serving the Kimberley region and the Northern Cape. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining field inspections with office-based report writing and analysis. You will be responsible for conducting accurate and unbiased valuations of various property types, including residential, commercial, and agricultural properties, for a range of clients such as financial institutions, legal firms, and private individuals. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of appraisal methodologies, local market conditions, and relevant regulations. Your expertise in assessing property value, identifying market trends, and preparing comprehensive appraisal reports is crucial. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent report-writing capabilities. You will play a key role in supporting critical financial and legal decisions for our clients throughout Kimberley and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough on-site inspections and collect detailed property data.
- Analyze comparable sales, market trends, and economic factors affecting property values.
- Apply various appraisal methodologies (e.g., sales comparison, cost, income approaches) appropriately.
- Prepare high-quality, USPAP-compliant (or local equivalent) appraisal reports.
- Review and justify property valuations to clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized appraisal records and documentation.




- Stay current with appraisal standards, ethical guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Manage appraisal assignments efficiently, adhering to deadlines and client requirements.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Assist in mentoring junior appraisers or trainees as needed.

Requirements

- Certified Real Estate Appraiser (or equivalent relevant certification) with a minimum of 5 years of appraisal experience.
- In-depth knowledge of residential, commercial, and potentially agricultural property appraisal.
- Proficiency in appraisal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and conduct site visits.
- Familiarity with the Kimberley and Northern Cape real estate market is essential.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Experience working in a hybrid role, balancing field work with office tasks.
