Matrix seeks a Health & Safety Coordinator to enhance safety protocols across various mining and winter ice road operations. This full time role focuses on regulatory compliance and proactive safety measures. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining workplace safety in remote conditions. You should be ready to perform site inspections, hazard assessments, and support the development of safety documentation. Your proactive approach will help promote a safety culture with teams working in often extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement health and safety programs across mining and ice road sites
• Conduct regular inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
• Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and daily safety meetings




• Monitor operations for compliance with safety regulations
• Investigate incidents and follow up on corrective actions

Requirements:
• Health and Safety certification or relevant education preferred
• Experience in mining or heavy civil construction roles
• Knowledge of safety legislation and client requirements
• First Aid/CPR certification
