Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Worker to join our educational team. This role is vital in fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs, including those who need extra support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for teaching, and strong communication skills, and a calm personality.

Duties

- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students needing support
- Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional assistance, ensuring they can participate fully in classroom activities
- Use effective communication techniques
- Support students in developing essential skills such as problem solving , early childhood education concepts, and social interactions
- Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and understanding among all students




- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
- Maintain documentation of student progress and support activities in accordance with school policies

Qualifications

- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with difficult behaviours.
- Robust communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and families
- Experience working in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Relevant certifications or training related to special education or disability support are beneficial

Pay: $17.12-$27.79 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
