Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-driven Industrial Mechanic / Millwright to join our maintenance team at our modern seafood processing facility in Arnold's Cove, NL. This role is critical to keeping our high-speed processing, freezing, and packaging lines running smoothly. We welcome certified Journeypersons as well as registered 3rd or 4th-year apprentices who are eager to advance their skills working with industry-leading food processing automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Specialized Machinery Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize Marel and Baader processing equipment (including filleting machines, skinners, graders, and portioning systems).

- Conveyor & Packaging Lines: Maintain, align, and overhaul high-speed conveyor systems, IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) tunnels, and automated packaging lines.

- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) in a wet, washdown-heavy setting, ensuring high food safety standards are met.

- Fluid Power Systems: Service, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems driving our production equipment.

- Welding & Fabrication: Perform minor equipment modifications and repairs using TIG/MIG welding, working extensively with stainless steel.

- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, food safety guidelines (HACCP),



and occupational health regulations.

Qualificiations and Skills:

- Certification Status: Valid Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license / Red Seal, OR a registered 3rd or 4th-year Apprentice actively tracking hours.

- Machinery Experience: Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining Marel and/or Baader equipment is highly preferred.

- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a seafood processing plant or food and beverage manufacturing facility is a strong asset.

- Technical Skills:

- Familiarity with stainless steel equipment and sanitary food-grade washdown environments.

- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.

- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (switches, proximity sensors) are an asset.

- Physical Demands: Ability to work in varying temperatures (processing areas vs. cold storage), lift up to 50 lbs, and work comfortably in industrial plant environments.
