At Ecocare we provide a variety of landscape and construction services to manage large scale commercial facilities, we operate from our customer location so there is minimal travel!

This position is full-time year-round. This person is required to be punctual with own mode of transportation, can easily follow instructions and has a working knowledge of, and experience in facilities services, landscape projects, landscape maintenance, snow services, asphalt and concrete projects. These all must be performed with a thorough understanding of safety in the workplace. The position reports directly to the Site Lead and/or Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Availability – must be available and responsive during and after snow and ice events.
- Landscaping maintenance – mowing, trimming, edging, bed work, etc.
- Site Cleaning – litter pick up and disposal.
- Snow Removal – Skid Steer, Loader, shoveling, salting, hazard assessment.
- Construction maintenance - asphalt, concrete work, line painting, machine work.




- Safety – tailgate talks, circle checks and hazard assessments, etc.
- Equipment Maintenance – cleaning, greasing, minor repairs, etc.
- Travel – infrequent, project or weather based.

Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean abstract is required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the landscape/snow industry required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating loaders/skid steers.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating landscape and construction equipment.
- Machine maintenance experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with team members.
- Safety awareness of both employees and equipment.
- Candidates for the position must possess a customer service attitude and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- Certificates in First Aid, WHMIS and Fall Arrest is an asset.

Compensation: Pay rate is based on experience, availability, and health and safety certifications and training.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
