Overview

Grumans Delicatessen is a Montreal style deli, serving authentic made from scratch breakfast and lunch and home style meals to go. The atmosphere is casual, but we take our food very seriously. Everything is made in house with tremendous care and attention to detail.

We are currently looking for full time and part time line cooks to work daytime shifts including weekends, and to help customers when needed. If you are passionate about creating great food, enjoy engaging with cutomers and have experience working on a restaurant line we would love to meet you.

Responsibilities

- Prepare menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist customers at the counter, taking orders accurately using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions with proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure timely food preparation and delivery to meet customer expectations




- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or serving duties as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working setting for staff and customers

Requirements

- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, including familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food industry best practices related to serving, food safety, and sanitation
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Expected hours: 15.0 – 36.0 per week
