Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge | Windsor (Erie Street)

Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge is hiring a Line Cook to join our professional kitchen team. This hybrid role is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented cook who enjoys both hands-on prep work and line execution in a quick-paced, team-driven environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Prepare ingredients, stocks, sauces, soups, and menu components according to Mezzo standards
- Execute dishes during service with attention to flavour, presentation, and timing
- Set up, maintain, and break down your station with proper organization and cleanliness
- Follow all recipes, food safety, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with daily prep lists to ensure service readiness
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team
- Assist with catering, private events, and special functions as required
- Maintain confidentiality of Mezzo’s proprietary recipes and kitchen processes

What We’re Looking For:

- 1–3 years’ experience in a skilled kitchen (working on the line)
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (required)




- Strong knife skills and understanding of basic to intermediate cooking techniques
- Passion for Italian cuisine and quality food preparation
- Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
